Lorin Chevalier, Co-CEO
Lorin Chevalier shares leadership responsibilities with Sarah Engels as Co-CEO of PeopleCare Health Services. In his role, Lorin directs the company’s corporate development, finance, legal and information technology activities. Over the past 20 years, Lorin has worked in such diverse areas as mental health/substance abuse, chiropractic/acupuncture/therapeutic massage, and home healthcare. His focus has been on working with great teams of people to increase individual access to high quality healthcare across the nation.[read more=”Read more” less=”Read less”]
Early in his career, Lorin worked in investment banking and public accounting. Later he worked in finance with companies like American Specialty Health, ValueOptions and Digital Horizons.
Lorin graduated magna cum laude from the University of Colorado with a degree in Business Administration plus post-graduate work at the University of Colorado Denver and at the New York Institute of Finance. He completed executive education programs at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
Being a key player in Colorado healthcare, Lorin has actively participated in numerous Colorado healthcare initiatives, including being appointed to committees for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF). He has addressed members of the Colorado State Legislature on the topic of hospice and home healthcare matters on a number of occasions. Lorin has also served on the board of directors of the Home Care Association of Colorado. In support of his alma mater, he also served for 10 years on the Board of Trustees for the University of Colorado Foundation.[/read]
Sarah Engels, Co-CEO
Sarah Engels shares leadership responsibilities with Lorin Chevalier as Co-CEO of PeopleCare Health Services. In her role, Sarah directs the company’s marketing and operational activities. Over the years, Sarah has worked in a variety of areas leading to the position she holds today. They include teaching health education, nursing home administration, medical staffing and the marketing and operations responsibilities for a multi-unit home care agency.

Sarah spent several years working with at-risk adolescents as a House Parent and Lead Trainer, which ultimately led her to the role of Administrator of Youth Benefits Unlimited as well as working as a foster parent for multiple counties in Colorado.
As a true contributor to Colorado health activities, Sarah served on the Board of Directors for the ALS Association (Rocky Mountain Chapter) and served on two Professional Advisory Committees within Health Care and Health Sciences Education.[/read]
